Random Thoughts of the Day

Since I've moved to Lemoore I've become lazy. When I first moved here I took the kids to school in stilettos, but now pj's and flip flops are more my style. Well, I was bringing my hubby dinner and I told him I wasn't getting out the car b/c I don't want to meet his workers while looking a hot mess. His reply was that maybe I should stop coming out the house looking crazy then. That hurt my feelings, but he's right. I can't let Lemoore get the best of me. Hopefully you will see more FOTDs and LOTDs as I start my personal be fabulous at all times challenge.

I went to the grocery the other day in a nasty old t-shirt that was about 10 years old and stained. I only needed a few things and I couldn't talk myself into changing my shirt. That night, I "confessed" to my husband because he is always talking about how moms dress at the grocery. He said, "I hope you didn't see anyone we know." It is sometimes SO HARD to muster up the energy to make an effort, haha. I totally understand and we do need to try harder. It will make our men happy!

I love your blog- just found it today. I try to fix my hair and put something decent on when I leav the house. Here we all live on base and you see everyone every day practically- so someone WILL see me if I go out looking a "hot mess" (my new favorite thing to say) as you said. The other reason is that sometime you just feel better when you take the time to fix yourself up. It makes it harder to mope around the house when you are dressed to the 9s. That's just my experience anyway. :)

Hi fancypants...thanks for checking out my blog.

I'm sure the same ppl see me everyday when I look a "hot mess" (LOL), but I don't know too many ppl personally so I guess I've stopped caring. I got dressed today though...heels and all. I do notice the change in my mood though so since I have depression issues I probably need to keep myself up.
