Let me start off by saying that while I do have my spiritual side I know that I am not yet where God wants me to be with him in my life. I grew up in a very abusive home where the abuser was my father and a preacher. My faith is there, but it's not always strong. I have to fight the devil and myself to stay God's child. I do know that if it wasn't for his love I would be gone today because everytime I drop to my lowest of lows he sends an angel who cares more about me than I do.
My favorite passage is Proverbs 31 because the woman in this passage is like superwoman to me and as a MilSpouse you have to learn to be superwoman. I tend to read Proverbs more than anything because I was taught if you don't know what to read just open Proverbs.
Proverbs 31:12
She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.
Being bipolar and a naturally bitter person sometimes it's just too easy for me to be mad at my husband for this new life we have when I'm homesick. This verse makes me remember to always be good to my husband no matter what we're going through. He has sacrficed so much and works hard to try and gives us a better life. It's easy to lose sight of that especially when you don't get to see your husband during deployments.

Oh how I could only wish to be half the woman in proverbs 31...but I do pray that I do, am, will be =)
I too tend to spend a good bit of time in the proverbs...they are great "tools" for our daily walks. So much fruit there.
thanks for sharing!
Great choice, I too love Proverbs 31, and wish to be more like the woman in the verses.
Found you on WOF :D
Proverbs 31 is the greatest goal for me too - especially the part about getting up before the family to prepare their meals, lol.
Thanks everyone for reading.
It will surely be the God in me when I wake up before me family...LOL
